Mounting the feed-wall the “floating” way ensures a good result

When installing the plastic feed-wall make sure they are granted free motion back and forth in the longitudinal direction. The reason is that plastic expands when temperatures rise and contracts when temperatures fall. The “floating” installation might be obtained by the means of an edge profile mounted onto the manger wall. The edge profile should run over the back edge of the plastic feed-wall without fixing it. This way the plastic feed-wall has free motion back and forth in the longitudinal direction, but it cannot be pushed away by the cows.
